Welcome and Get in the Game!

NBA All-Star 2017 is a weeklong basketball celebration that is one of the most anticipated sporting events of the year and features a full slate of events designed to make the host city the basketball capital of the world. For more than 16 years, the NBA has been committed to economic inclusion by identifying women and minority-owned businesses among the local suppliers that it works with to bring All-Star week to life. NBA All-Star 2017 will be no different as our NBA All-Star 2017 Supplier Diversity Program looks to expand opportunities for enterprises based in New Orleans – our host city – that are capable of delivering exceptional goods and services in one or more of our targeted commodity areas.

The NBA will work with local community groups, business and professional associations and certifying agencies to identify and invite suppliers to apply for the program. Successful applicants will be included in our registry which will be made available to the NBA’s internal business units and partners. This registry will be the central source for identifying local providers of goods and services.

The 66th annual NBA All-Star Game will be played on Sunday, Feb. 19 at Smoothie King Center, home of the Pelicans.  NBA All-Star 2017 will be broadcast on TNT and in more than 200 countries and territories in more than 40 languages.

In addition to the game, Smoothie King Center will host the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge on Friday, Feb. 17 and State Farm® All-Star Saturday Night on Saturday, Feb. 18, while the NBA All-Star Practice, NBA All-Star Celebrity Game and NBA Development League All-Star Game presented by Kumho Tire will take place at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.  This will mark the third time New Orleans has been the site of the league’s annual midseason celebration, having hosted the event in 2008 and 2014.
