NBA All-Star 2022 Supplier Diversity Program FAQs
NBA All-Star 2022 is a weeklong basketball celebration that brings together the world’s most talented and passionate athletes before a global audience. It is one of the most anticipated sporting events of the year and features a full slate of events designed to make the host city the basketball capital of the world.
The NBA All-Star Game reaches fans in 215 countries and territories in 47 languages. Additionally, hundreds of members of the international media converge on the host city to provide firsthand coverage of NBA All-Star 2022. Finally, as part of NBA All-Star 2022, the NBA works closely with the local community to conduct hands-on service activities designed to leave a lasting and positive impact on underserved populations.
The NBA All-Star 2022 Supplier Diversity Program mission is to create opportunities for local minority and women-owned businesses to participate in NBA All-Star 2022 as suppliers of required goods and services. In conjunction with local community groups and certifying agencies, the NBA will invite a range of women, minority, veteran, LGBT-owned business enterprises to apply for the program. Accepted and approved applicants will be included in the registry, which will be made available to the NBA’s internal business units and partners. This registry will be the central source for the NBA and its partners in seeking locally supplied goods and services.
Ideally vendors will be certified by either the NMSDC, WBENC, NGLCC certifying agencies. Information on certifying agencies is available Here.
Women, minority, veteran, LGBT-owned business enterprises who have the ability to conduct business operations and deliver goods and services in Cleveland and regularly provide goods and services needed for NBA All-Star 2022 (see below).
See below for a list of the goods and services that are most commonly sourced for NBA All-Star 2022. It is important to note that if your business does not regularly provide any of these services, the application will not be approved.

The bidding process for some goods and services will begin as early as March 2021 and continue through the first two weeks of February 2022, peaking in November/December 2021. Once a vendor is selected to provide goods/services, the vendor must enter into a formal contract with the appropriate NBA entity and that contract will contain the NBA’s standard terms and conditions (e.g., insurance requirements, indemnity obligations use of NBA IP, etc.).
